"Everybody Loves My Baby"
Jack Palmer was an African American songwriter (mainly lyricist) who wrote with composer Spencer Williams, among others, during the Twenties. "Everybody Loves My Baby" was first made into a hit by Williams' brother Clarence and his Blue Five with Louis Armstrong on trumpet, and then by Ruth Etting. Spencer Williams and Palmer also wrote "I've Found a New Baby," also a hit for Clarence Williams and his Blue Five (See Shaw, p. 73).
