Many sources give 1942 as the date for "I'll Remember April," but at least one version of the sheet music (published by Leeds Music Corp., New York) is dated 1941, and, as the movie Ride 'Em Cowboy was released February 13, 1942, it is not unlikely that the song was written during the previous year. Dick Foran introduced the song in Ride 'Em Cowboy. The song was also used in the 1945 movie Eve Knew Her Apples, where it was sung by Ann Miller.
